My Animation

This is the link to my animation as i had problems uploading it onto my blog.

Setting and After effects

Setting

I am going to set up a plain white background which will include in it just my sketchbook.

After effects

I took around 230 images and uploaded them onto after effects, when i uploaded them there was a problem and after effects cut some of my images out so i had to go through on the time line to see where the images were missing and cut parts of my animation out. After i had sorted all of this out i then changed my animation into black and white which relates back to one of my descriptive words old english. I then changed the opacity and the begging and end of my animation so it blended in and out.

Tea cups

I covered my teacups with different designs i got from my mood boards. one of them is using lace around the top, second is a tea doily, third is a flower pattern and fourth is the plain writing paper. I wanted to keep my teacups plain and simple.

Development on the dancer

This is the dancer i have decided to chosen. I am now going to cut this dancer out ans also cut around where the dancers joints would be.

This is my dancer when all the joints are cut out. Where i have cut the joints out i am going to put blue tack so then i can move each joint around and make the dancer look like she's moving.

Dancer ideas

These are the four different dancers i have drawn up to choose from.

developed storyboard

Draw ballet dancer onto sketchbook.

Dancer finally reaches the top and slides into the top cup.

Research Images And Materials

I have been researching into my three descriptive words and my music and i have gathered a collection of images and materials to help me along with my designs of the teacups, background and dancer for my animation.

Images out of magazines

images that relate to england:

Craft:

Flowers, spring:

Different colours, shapes, cakes, tea sets:

Materials

All these images that i have collected all relate to my three descriptive words. From some of these images i have put together i am going to use them to help me cover my paper mache teacups.

Type Of Dancing

The type of dancing i am going to be using which i feel goes best with my music is ballet.

Research On Ballet Animations

These three animations are all on ballet and this is the type of dance i am going to use for my animation as i feel it fits in well with the old english style i have gone for.

Research On Dance Animations

This animation is very clever the way that both dancers come alive from the one line and made to look very real.

This video relates to my storyboard as it is of a dancer waking up. This video is very flowing and uses a lot of different lines and structure.

This animation uses a lot of different shapes  even though it uses a plain body structure for my dancer in my animation i want mine to be a lot more simple.

Teacups

Using my descriptive word 'craft' i am going to make teacups using paper mache.

  • I cut out a template of the size i want my teacups, which includes the teacup, handle and bottom. I copied it four times onto cardboard (cereal box).

  • I cut out the pieces.
  • I first used the main part which is the long teacup i folded the teacup so the bottom sections met together i did one at a time and taped it together around the bottom.

  • I joined all the sections and taped the inside and out to form a teacup shape.
  • I taped the bottom base onto the teacup.

  • I covered the teacup in paper mache by using wall paper paste and newspaper.
  • I then left the paper mache to dry and then added another layer to make the teacup stronger.
  • I then covered the handle in paper mache.

Rayograms

I went in the darkroom to produce these Rayograms. To do this i experimented with a few items and then i brought in a number of different items that i felt related to my project. To get the different effects i overlapped some of my items, used different angels, created different shapes and textures.

Rayograms i experimented with.....

These two rayograms where what i used to experiment with. The light and the settings i had the equipment on was set to how i wanted it all to be and i feel these have turned out well.

Rayograms created with items i have brought in that relate to my project.

This rayogam is hard to see but i feel looks effective and shows different textures, this lighting could be better in this one so the item was more clear.

Mini animation

We worked as a group of three to create this mini animation. The animation is made up of 36 drawings put together.

Storyboard

Girl going for a walk.........

Bat chases the girl, man comes in and saves her by hitting the bat with a baseball bat........

Research on stop motion animation advertisement

This is a knife crime animation about a group of teenagers and the consequences of knife crime. This stop motion video was used to show people what happens and helps to prevent knife crime.

Advert for the observer using stop motion animation.

This advert is advertising the new corsa for 2011 by using stop motion animation.

Research On Stop Motion Animations....

In this stop motion animation i like how they have kept in rhythm to the music. On some parts of the video i like how u can see them draw the images. It has been done on a white board and has been very cleverly done as it all fits in together so well and the changing of the images links into each other very smooth.

This stop motion video is so simple but so effective, It is like the model has been brought to life.

This stop motion has been made just simply out of blobs of play dough and colour. I like the way each blob is moulded together so smooth and link in really well together.

This video i found very interesting and fun to watch, it has been created very cleverly and has turned out very good. I like the way the women comes to life and the idea. I find this video very creative.

I love the idea of this video, it must of took a lot of time and effort to create. I like the idea of the photos to create the story of the stop motion.

The music i got is:

Audio 4 "Bach Goldberg Variation 1"

I have been listening to my music and i feel it is quite happy piece of music and i quite like it. The music makes its way up to a climax then drops a gen and has a porse, where the music has a quick porse is where im going to stop as it is a nice place to finish it as it has a nice climax up it. I am going to focus on the first 25-30 seconds as it has a nice tempo and changes rhythm.
